26 Years old!

Where does the time go. One day you are in high school thinking i am never going to get out of here. And then the next thing you know, you are watching your son come into the world. Its amazing how fast times goes. Some of the things i have enjoyed this summer are the many camping trips to Wasatch, Brower, numerous scout camps, the spruces. and of course the last hunting trip I took to Michigan. and no matter what my grandpa and dad say the honey dipping chore is not that sweet.
Some things recently i have enjoyed is having my parents own a boat. It has been many hours of fun and i hope to have many more as my son grows up and comes to enjoy it also, i hope he doesn't get my moms fear of the water on her face.
And most of all things have have come to love and enjoy are all the family outings soccer games, the fair, football games, trips to the cabin. Now with our little guy here we will be able to create memories with him also. i am so looking forward to the next year of my life as i watch my son grow. I hope the next year brings us more adventures!

New Toy!

Last year we talked our parents into getting a tube that you sat in, well this year we talked them into getting a new toy its called a hot dog. and I think it was worth my parents money.
I am not one of those people that likes to be whipped around so this was perfect for me and you can go really fast also.
My wife has been on one of these when she was little and she said she loved it. so we thought we would give it a try. now if we can get my brothers fiance to bring hers we can have hot dog wars out on the lake. to bad the boating season is almost and the end.

A New Season.

Well as summer comes to an end in a couple of weeks. And we look at putting the boat away for the winter. As sad as it is to say that. A new season starts this weekend. My second favorite time of year. No its not watching Utah play in the PAC 12, that's such old news. The archery hunt starts this weekend, as I hear of other hunters planning their trips. I look back at years past, and all the excitement that comes from this time of year. the times i have spent standing in a tree stand with my dad and Grandpa, to all the times i have spent sleeping in my ground blind. (which if you need a good place to nap i highly recommend.). Anyways to all those archery hunters taking the next two weeks off enjoy this time of year. Me personally wont be taking the next two weeks off to hunt. Instead i am going to soak up the last few weeks of summer, that seems to have been to short. Happy Hunting.

First Boating Trip

Well we had our first trip out on the lake this past weekend. Everything went great. And I believe everyone had a good time. We put the boat in at the Provo harbor on Utah lake. The water was about 70 degrees. but that didn't stop me from getting in. I was the first to take the first dip in the water and believe me it felt colder then it sounded. Once i got up on the knee board though it wasn't bad. My dad even gave me a chance to pull some of the tubers around that was fun. Its always good times when we are out on the boat.

ALMOST SPRING!

Every now and then we get a taste of spring. Then the next morning you wake up to snow. Got to love it :) Well lately we have not had a chance to get out into the outdoors. That tends to happen every winter with the cold weather. But his weekend my wife and I were able to get out and weed some flower beds. It was such a nice day it was warm and sunny. The dog loved it she ran around the yard and barked at everything that moved. She can sometimes be silly. We got one of the three flower beds weeded, and I worked on getting this stupid Japanese elm ripped out. That took me like an half hour. And it cost me a shovel. But it is always nice seeing the finished product, like having a nice flower bed. Also happening my dad bought a wake-board. JWP and I are pretty excited, last year we mastered the knee-board. So this year we take on a new challenge. Cant wait to get out there and give it a shot. Maybe break some limbs!

FIRST POST

MY FIRST BLOG! I have come to realize that I love sharing my outdoor stories with others. This is my purpose for starting this blog. For the past two and a half years it has been me and my amazing wife going through adventures together. And with our son now on the way, I thought it would be fun to start a blog about our adventures. A lot of these adventures include camping and boating. But I also enjoy hunting, so I am going to share some of my stories from those trips also.
My love for the outdoors started years ago as I spent most of my childhood in boy scouts. So after all those years going on week long camps I never once caught a fish. My first experience catching a fish didn't come until I was 25 years old. But all in all I love being outdoors and hope that you enjoy reading about our adventures.
